Evaluation
Students take monthly tests after completion of 50% of the course in each unit. On completion of each unit, another test is organized based of final model questions. Field works, case studies, presentations in classes, regularity in the practical classes and conducts of each student in class room and outdoor activities are basis of evaluation. End semester examination in theory, practical examination and case studies presentation are held at the end of each semester. For MSc, dissertation (thesis) is compulsory in the forth semester.
An annual examination in theory, practical and case studies are held at the end of each academic session of BSc.

Collaborations

CAS gives high priority to the collaborative efforts in addressing different environmental issues, both local and global. Accordingly, this college has already established collaborative linkages through MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with concerned governmental, non-governmental and international organizations and such collaborations are focused on:

  • Policy document preparation – CAS has prepared or has been involved in the preparation of policy documents (Draft IEE Guidelines for MoAC, Draft Hazardous Waste Management Guidelines for MoEnv. etc.)
  • Research – CAS undertakes research to generate relevant information and thus to support policy level and different development organizations. The research grants acquired for these purposes have been found to be very encouraging to the students undertaking thesis research. Involvement of CAS students in research activities of its collaborating research laboratories and organizations has become a great motivating factor.
  • Training – in addition to its regular training programs, CAS has been organizing joint trainings both for the students striving for environmental career and personnel associated with different organizations working in the field of environment.

Assistanceships

CAS graduates are provided the assistantship opportunities and those having enough evidence of involvement in different academic and research activities have already gone abroad for further studies (PhD, Masters) and are also getting good job offers.
