Admission Requirements in BSc Environmental Science
The admission procedure consists of an entrance examinations followed by an interview. To be eligible for B.Sc. in Environmental Science, students must have a degree in intermediate in science or 10+2 from any recognized institution.
The eligibility criteria for BSc Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University(TU) program are as follows:
- The candidates must have passed intermediate level science or plus two science or A-level science or I. SC from TU or Board/ University/ Institution accepted by Tribhuvan University in science stream.
- There is no any minimum marks criterion for B.Sc. environment.
- The students should compulsorily fulfill all the criteria required for appearing in the entrance exam.
The Entrance exam can be listed into various features as follows:
- 2 hour exam
- Total 100 marks objective questions.
- Questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry, and Math for Physical groups,
- Questions are asked from Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany for Biological group
- Exam takes place at different time for physical and Bio- group
- Merit list is published and admission is taken as per merit list.
Admission and Eligibility for MSc in Environmental Science
For M.Sc. degree in Environment Science, students must have a Bachelor’s Degree with Environment Science as major from any recognized institution. Students are admitted on merit basis.
The eligibility criteria for MSc Environmental Science, Tribhuvan University(TU) program are as follows:
- An applicant must have to complete B.Sc.in Environmental Science or any equivalent degree with same major subjects from college/ university recognized by Tribhuvan University with at least second division in aggregate.
- The application of the candidates having degrees other than B.Sc. can be accepted as per the decision of Faculty Board of IOST-TU.
- The candidates must have to fulfill all the criteria mentioned in the M.Sc. entrance exam notice of TU.
In order to get admission in MSc in Environmental Science program of Central Department of Environment Science (CDES):
- A candidate must appear in and successfully pass the entrance examination conducted by Institute of Science and Technology, Tribhuvan University (IOST-TU).
- The admission is strictly merit based.
- A merit list is based on 80% marks of entrance and 20% marks of B.Sc.
